Problems/Comments

Petroleum contaminated soil was identified during removal of a 500 gallon diesel fuel tank. Also, a leaking 500 gallon diesel UST with contaminated soil. Approximately 70 - 100 cubic yards excavated and stockpiled but not all was removed. Groundwater not encountered in 10' deep excavation. Contact Scott Bergland, 271 3740. FAA tank #: 1-E-1 and 1-E-2. Second contact person would be Catharine Benediktsson. This site has both LUST and CS issues and is on databases in each program. Last staff assigned was Halverson.

1/26/1993 Update or Other Action (Old R:Base Action Code = SA2R - Phase II SA Review (CS)). A regulated diesel UST and a non-regulated heating oil tank were removed. Approximately 100 cubic yards of soil was removed by over-excavation of the tank pits. Residual contamination remains.
