Problems/Comments
On 2/20/91 a diesel spill resulting from a ruptured line in an above ground tank was reported to ADEC. Release may have been occurring since the 1970s according to a complaint and contamination is evident according to trooper investigation. Extent of contamination and threat to human health unknown at this time. Allegations of diesel contamination by new owner who purchased property in 7/90. D. Basketfield has advised excavation of the contaminated soil. (rpltr6) Legal description is Tract A of Drashner-Weiler Subdivision, plat 75-2, Nenana Recording District.

A complaint in the file refers to previous spill of approximately 500 gallons in 1975. Samples from 12/91 show primarily #1 and some #2 fuel oil in soil near tank and tunnel. Property owner also informed DEC that the DW well on the property is no longer used and water is brought in from a different location. The former AST at the residence was drained and fuel oil lines to the tank and running through the tunnels were decommissioned and removed. | 8/22/2019 | Site Visit | ADEC staff met the RP and family member at the site. The homestead includes a four stall bus garage, generator building (current occupied by family member). RP indicated that the drinking water well is not used, underground buildings, tunnel and greenhouse are in various states of collapse and not safe to occupy.
