Problems/Comments

During the removal of two heating oil tanks, contamination from heating oil was confirmed. Groundwater has been monitored onsite since 1996. As of the most recent groundwater monitoring done in 2020 DRO, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, ethylbenzene, naphthalene, and 1-methylnaphthalene exceed groundwater cleanup levels.

8/26/2009 Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other Work plan submitted by Hoefler for groundwater sampling has been approved after revisions, clarifications, and addendums from July 22, July 24, and August 25. Two temporary monitoring wells will be installed (one at source area and one downgradient) to determine if there is still contamination in the groundwater resulting from the former bakery tank. RP has agreed to also collect sample for chlorinated solvents to evaluate the status of this existing plume (from another source) in the area. Tamara Cardona-Marek
9/3/2009 Update or Other Action Consultant contacted DEC to inform that well MW-3 has been located and it's functional. They will sample MW-3 to investigate the current status of the source area.
