Problems/Comments

Tract B, Memory Lakes Commercial Subdivision. In August 1994, petroleum impacted soil was encountered during the removal of a 10,000-gallon diesel underground storage tank (UST), and associated piping and dispenser, which were located directly above the UST. During the investigations at this site, soil samples were analyzed for diesel range organics (DRO).

ETM ranking was completed using the small amount of information in the file stored at the Anchorage office. The contractor that was responsible for the tank excavation believed that there were other sources of contamination including waste oil. The only COPC that was tested for in the soil sampled was DRO.
