Problems/Comments

The station was purchased by Holiday Companies in 2004. Previously, the station was purchased by Mapco Express in 1987. Formerly Toppers #1. An on-site groundwater sample, HCW2, taken on 5/22/90 had 0.21 ppm benzene. A shallow soil sample from beneath the SW service pump, B9S1, had 4836.9 ppm BTEX. Soil contamination exists around the former UST array and pump islands, as well as the new UST array. Groundwater contamination has been documented in offsite. The groundwater is about 9 feet below the surface and moves towards the southwest. In 2020, a new release was discovered when dispensers were upgraded. The new release is now listed as Hazard ID: 27708.
