Problems/Comments

Tanks removed in 1998, soil and groundwater contamination found. Most of the contaminated soil was excavated and treated. Some soil contamination was left near the utilities in the alley located on the south side of the property. Three monitoring wells were installed in 1999. The monitoring wells were decommissioned in 2003. F.K.A. L55.325

Groundwater Use Restrictions Installation of groundwater wells requires ADEC approval.
When Contaminated Soil is Accessible, Remediation Should Occur Sub-surface soil contamination remains beneath the Senco Alaska building and below the buried sewer line. When the soil becomes accessible, the soil must be evaluated and contamination addressed to the satisfaction of ADEC.
Periodic Review Senco Alaska Inc must report to ADEC every 5 years to document land use, or report as soon as Senco Alaska Inc becomes aware of any change in land ownership and/or use, if earlier.
Movement or use of contaminated material (including on site) in a manner that results in a violation of the water quality standards is prohibited (18 AAC 70)
