Problems/Comments

On November 1996 two 4500 gallon gasoline underground storage tanks and their associated piping were removed. 100 cubic yards of contaminated soil (up to 0.2 mg/kg benzene and 1100 mg/kg GRO) was excavated and is currently stockpile on-site in the back yard. Up to 0.053 mg/kg benzene and 8.1 mg/kg GRO was left in the excavation. In 1998 a monitoring well was installed and sampled. Groundwater contamination had decreased to 7.1 ug/l benzene in September 27, 2002. An active drinking water well is located near the former tank excavation, it was sampled in 1998 and found to be free of contamination. F.K.A. L55.255 Per U-Haul supervisor, this site is no longer operated as Harold's Rent-a-Truck. Need confirmation soil sampling of 100 cubic yard stockpile, the tank excavation, and the on property monitoring well and drinking water well for site closure.
