Problems/Comments
Cabins were constructed by St. Lawrence Island residents at this site during the time the military base was operational. Materials to build these structures were obtained by residents from the military. A 2009 Site Investigation determined the presence of lead-based paint and ACM in debris and building materials throughout the site, as well as drums and misc. Containers that still contain POL product with associated stained soils. Soils and debris contaminated with metals, POLs, and possibly PCBs are the primary contaminants of concern.
