Problems/Comments
An SI of the three floor drains and surrounding area at FAA Shop Building 601 was performed in July 2010. Results from the SI found that soils in the subsurface beneath the floor drains have limited contamination, which is generally confined to the uppermost 5 to 6 feet of soil beneath the floor drains. Contaminants locally exceeding the ADEC Method Two cleanup level include DRO, RRO, PCE, chromium, cadmium and arsenic. With the exception of arsenic, these contaminants are consistent with fuels, chlorinated solvents, used oil, and metal particles suspended in solvents/used oils entering the shop floor drains and percolating into near surface soils. DRO 5000, RRO 20000, PCE 57, Cr 99. Cd 9.6.
