Problems/Comments

Several diesel spills have occurred at the site, with the largest being 125 gallons in 1986. Petroleum contaminated soil associated with routine operations also exists. The light station began operation in 1924, and automated and unstaffed in 1974. Last staff assigned were Palmieri and Schlichting.
