Problems/Comments

Contractor on-site to excavate soild waste from the quarry disposal site. Lead and petroleum contamination discovered. Surface soil sample analysis detected lead at 2170 ppm, chromium at 29.4 ppm, and DRO at 260 ppm. Hazardous materials buried include: ½ cubic yard oily soil, 72 drums, 50 galonsl POL fluids, 10 gallons grease, 25 gallons POL sludge, 40 cubic yards refuse, 40 cubic yards scrap steel, 2 ½ batteries, and one 2 ton steel log shovel.
