Problems/Comments

Landowner had her drinking water sampled on July 22, 2002 after noticing an odor from her water. Sample result was 6 milligrams per liter (mg/L) diesel range organics (DRO). Drinking water source is a private well located on the property. Source of contamination unknown. Little Campbell Creek runs through the property. Well is located on Lot 1, Block 1, Alpine Terrace Subdivision.

Three borings will be advanced and completed as monitoring wells to evaluate for the presence of contaminants in groundwater and determine the direction of groundwater flow. One additional soil boring will be placed as close as possible to the potential source area to evaluate the presence of soil contamination. One soil sample will be collected from the smear zone from the boreholes completed as monitoring wells, two soil samples will be collected from the fourth boring.
