Draft Residue Criteria Public Notice
The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 18 Chapter 70 of the Alaska Administrative Code dealing with Water Quality Standards. DEC proposes to change the current water quality criteria for residues in fresh and marine waters by amending 18 AAC 70.020 (b)(8) and (20) and Note 13. The proposed changes are consistent with federal Environmental Protection Agency guidance.
You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to Carl Reese at 410 Willoughby Ave. Suite 303, P.O. Box 111800, Juneau Alaska 99801-1800 or email Carl.Reese@Alaska.gov, or fax to (907) 465-5274. The comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., on January 12, 2011. Comments received after this date will not be considered in final action on these rules.
