Regional Haze is caused when tiny particles in the air absorb and scatter sunlight between the object we are looking at and our eyes.  The particles that cause haze comes from natural and man-made sources which includes dust, soot, motor vehicles, electric utility, industrial fuel burning and manufacturing operations.
