EXEMPT TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS
The following are exempt from regional but not from hot spot analysis:
- Selected intersection improvements
- Channelization
- Signalization
- Reconfiguration
- Alignment changes
- Truck size and weight stations
- Bus terminals and transfer points
The following are exempt from regional and hot spot analysis:
- Safety - fencing, median, truck climbing lanes, bridge reconstruction, etc.
- Mass Transit - operating assistance, construction, rehabilitation, new buses, etc.
- Air Quality - rideshare, van pool, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities
- Other - studies, engineering, noise attention, etc.
All exemptions are subject to interagency consultation.
