State Program (30 percent of funding)
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides funding for a State Clean Diesel Grant Program. State Program guidelines for funding allocations are not as strict as they are for the National Program. The purpose of the State Program is to enable more innovative and creative projects to take place where they might not be eligible under the National Program. All project ideas are asked to be submitted, so the State of Alaska can consider all possible projects.
