Fort Knox Mine

 

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue Air Quality Control (AQC) Minor Permit No. AQ0053MSS02 to Fairbanks Gold Mining, Inc. (FGMI) for the Fort Knox Mine, ORL Modification.  FGMI’s permit application is for an Owner Requested Limit (ORL) modification to reduce the limit on the hours of operation for four generators.  The ORL is for the purpose of avoiding classification under 18 AAC 50.326.   

Location:        7,209.240 Northing; 484.275 Easting; Zone 6

Applicant:       Fairbanks Gold Mining, Inc., #1 Fort Knox Road, Fairbanks, AK  99712

This project is classified under 18 AAC 50.508(6), for the purpose of modifying terms and conditions established in a Title I permit.  The project complies with all applicable requirements of 18 AAC 50.  ADEC is issuing this preliminary permit decision under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50.
