The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to renew the Air Quality Operating Permit for emission units at the M/V Northern Victor Seafood Processing Facility, under Alaska Statutes 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50. 

 

Applicant:             Icicle Seafoods Inc.

 

Location:               The stationary source is physically located in Udagak Bay, on the Unalaska Island of Alaska.

 

Activity: The stationary source is a motor vessel that processes raw fish into finished seafood products.

 

The owner or operator submitted an application on February 23, 2006.  This public notice is for the draft operating permit renewal only.

 

Emissions:            The significant emission units are four diesel generators, two oil fired boilers, one incinerator, and one fishmeal exhaust.  The potential annual emissions of regulated air contaminants at the source will not exceed:  32 tons of Particulate Matter (PM-10), 225 tons of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), 54 tons of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), 61 tons of Carbon Monoxide (CO), and 6 tons of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).  The total emissions of regulated air contaminants are 378 tons per year.

Department Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC has drafted a preliminary permit decision for the M/V Northern Victor Seafood Processing Facility.

The administrative record for this permit is available for review at the Anchorage office of ADEC during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
