SUPPLEMENTAL PUBLIC NOTICE

On August 1, 2005, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) issued a public notice for proposed Air Quality Control Construction Permit Nos. AQ0072 CPT02, AQ0074 CPT02, AQ0075CPT03, AQ0077 CPT02, AQ0079 CPT003 and AQ0081 CPT02 to Alyeska Pipeline Service Company (APSC) to limit hazardous air pollutants (HAP) from the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System Pump Stations 1, 3, 4, 7, 9, and 12. With this supplemental public notice the department extends the comment period for those permits.
ADEC issues the preliminary decisions under the authority of AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50. APSC requested limits to avoid federal emission standards applicable for HAP major stationary sources. ADEC intends to incorporate the terms of the final construction permits into the respective Operating Permit Nos. 072TVP01, 074TVP01, 075TVP01, 077TVP01, 079TVP01 and 081TVP01 as administrative revisions under 18 AAC 50.370.

Activity: This action will not increase emissions from any of the stationary sources. The Department will limit Pump Stations 1, 3, 4, 7, 9 and 12 HAP emissions to less than 10 tons per year (TPY) for individual HAP and 25 TPY for aggregate HAPs at each of the stationary sources.
