Problems/Comments
Abandoned 1100 gallon diesel tank and associated contaminated soil. 1100 gallon gasoline UST 9-A-2 was abandoned in place due to proximity to power and communications lines. Located adjacent to Hospital lake. Former 500 gallon diesel UST 9-A-1 was removed in 1996 and confirmation sampling results are below cleanup levels. Groundwater is estimated to be at 20-30 feet below ground surface.

One UST (9-A-1), an inactive 500 gallon diesel tank, was removed along with 1/3 cubic yard of petroleum-contaminated soil. 6 confirmation samples were collected and analytical results showed that the petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations were below default cleanup levels. UST (9-A-2), an inactive 1100 gallon gasoline tanks, was abandoned in place and 5 cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil were removed. Two confirmation samples were collected and showed that the petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations were below the default cleanup levels. ADEC determines that no further action is required. Site closure approval letter sent November 21, 2005. | Anne Marie Palmieri |
