Problems/Comments

One 500 gallon UST 9-B-1 was removed in 1996 and replaced with UST 9-B-101. Approximately 195 cubic yards of fuel contaminated soil is landspread at the RCAG. Groundwater contamination has been detected above cleanup levels. Groundwater estimated to be at 20-30 feet below ground surface.

11/21/2005 Site Closure Approved Site closure was approved in a letter sent this date (attached). An underground storage tank was removed in 1995 along with 1/2 cubic yard petroleum contaminated soil. Confirmation samples were below method 2 cleanup levels. This area was also used for the biocell for all Ft. Yukon FAA facility contaminated soils. The cell was dismantled in 1999. Confirmation samples showed that the soil remediation was successful.
