Problems/Comments

Gasoline contamination was reported on March 23, 1989 due to a broken fuel line due to a hard frost that occurred during the winter. Approximately 30 cubic yards of soil was excavated and stockpiled on site. One 4,000 gallon unleaded, one 3,000 gallon regular, and one 2,000 gallon super gasoline underground storage tanks were removed on June 8 and 9, 1998. GRO and DRO contamination was encountered, but contamination was left in the ground. On June 6 to 13, 2002 approximately 500 cubic yards of impacted soil was removed and stockpiled. The soils were transported to North Pacific Remediation, LLC and treated by Hot Air Vapor Extraction. Groundwater was impacted. Updated 10-12-06 Alyce Hughey.
