Release Investigation |
SI; Gilfilian Engineering, Inc. conducted site assessment for K & L Distributors, Inc. Five soil test borings were drilled and groundwater was encountered in four of the five test borings. 1 10,000 gallon unleaded gasoline tank, 1 10,000 gallon regular gasoline tank, and 1 5,000 gallon diesel fuel tank are currently located at the site. The site has a history of abandoned gasoline station prior to construction of the Box Boy building and the USTs associated with the abandoned service station were removed as a result of a state right-of-way. Sampling found significant soil contamination by petroleum products and recommended that groundwater monitoring wells be installed. |
