Problems/Comments
Farnell use to be staff assigned.Contaminated soil from overfills at two regulated UST's: ADEC Tank Nos 1 and 3 (FAA Tank Nos 15-A-001 and 15-B-001 respectively). Awaiting decommissioning reports and subsequent release investigation. Have provided letter allowing delay of release investigation for Tank 15-B-1 till 1998 season due to structural question of nearby power pole.

12/3/2004 | Release Investigation | when the tanks were excavated, samples were taken from the floor and sidewalls of both excavations and from the stockpile. Samples were tested for GRO, DRO, BTEX, and lead. All samples were below cleanup levels. Benzene detection limits were between 0.03 and 0.05 mg/kg, which is slightly higher than the cleanup level of 0.02 mg/kg however, benzene was not detected. Groundwater was not encountered in any excavation and is not used as a drinking water source at this site. Tanks were removed in August 1997. | Sharon Richmond |
