Three underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed in 1995 as documented in the report Fuel Storage Tank Decommissioning Assessments. Tank 9-C-1, an inactive 500 gallon gasoline tank, was removed along with 12 cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil. Six confirmation samples were collected and showed that the petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations were below default cleanup levels. Tank 9-C-2, also an inactive 500 gallon gasoline tank, was removed along with 5 cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil. Five confirmation samples were collected and showed that the petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations were below the default cleanup levels. Tank 9-C-4, an inactive 1000 gallon diesel tank, was removed along with 35 cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil. Six confirmation samples were collected and showed that the petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations were below default cleanup levels. ADEC has determined that no further action is required at these areas. Closure approval letter sent out November 21, 2005.
