Problems/Comments
The former City of Huslia tank farm consisted of four vertical tanks and one horizontal tank containing both diesel and gasoline used for dispensing. The tanks were located inside an unlined 2.5-foot high dike. On average, the tank farm contained approximately 40,000 gallons of gasoline and 10,000 gallons of diesel. In 1998, the tank farm and fuel dispensers were relocated to their current location in an effort to avoid potential problems from the eroding riverbank. The former City of Huslia Tank Farm was in operation for a minimum of 30 years in an unlined area. Although a sample collected in the general area showed non-detectable for DRO, GRO, RRO and BTEX there is still a high potential for contamination.
