Problems/Comments
Four former USTs were present at the site under federal operation; leaks or fuel handling spillage caused contaminated soil and groundwater at the hilltop site. Sections 5&6, T 74 S, 81 E, CR Meridian, Craig B-4 Quad. The USTs and contaminated soil was removed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The groundwater sampling showed that the contamination has naturally attenuated. Contamination remains below the log cabin and shed.

Report documents groundwater and surface water seep samples as well as 2 air monitoring samples inside the cabin. Groundwater and surface water seep and crawlspace area air sample were all below their respective cleanup and screening levels. The air sample collected upstairs in the cabin slightly exceeded the benzene screening value, however there were other potential sources (smoking, furnace) which could have contributed to the results. No additional sampling is needed. Soil contamination remains below the cabin.
