Problems/Comments

Trichloroethene (TCE) contamination historically detected in groundwater. Concentration levels range from about 80 micrograms per liter (ug/L0 to 10 ug/L on Southwestern portion of TL - 203. Source of contamination unknown: groundwater contamination may originate from on-property or off-property sources. See Bentley Trust Tax Lot 201 for historical investigation.

7/24/2006 Meeting or Teleconference Held A meeting was held with Jim Desmond of Desmond Realty and representatives of Fountain Head Development, owners of Wedge Wood Resorts. Fountain Head intends to purchase the western portion of TL-203 (including the two existing gravel pits) and turn the area into a extension of the Creamer's Field Nature Preserve. Fountain Head may build apartments on the western edge of the property at a later date, however the majority of the property will be used as a nature preserve. Fountain Head will need to move some dirt for habitat enhancement and use water from the gravel pit for irrigation purposes for a limited time. Fountain Head will send an email with a list of future uses so any land use restrictions can take them into account. The parties were advised of the email sent earlier today to Alyeska suggesting additional ground water sampling in order to delineate the extent of any ground water contamination. Douglas Bauer

Derik would like the well repositioned or cut off to grade due to the amount of construction traffic. Comments included: observations concerning interpretation of dissolved oxygen in groundwater; no objection to cessation of collection of monitored natural attenuation parameters, nor with the proposed change in groundwater monitoring frequency from annually to biennially, but observed future property development may warrant re-evaluation natural attenuation conditions and collection of groundwater data outside biennial sampling schedule.
