Problems/Comments
Reported potential contaminants onsite in unknown quantities include petroleum, oil, lubricant waste, PCBs, asbestos, solvents, herbicides, paints, antifreeze. Dates of disposal, presence or extent of contamination unknown. Update: site investigations indicate that fuel, primarily diesel-range organics are contaminants of concern. Isolated areas of benzene many exist across the FFA Flight Service Station.

Based on the information provided to date, DEC determined the site status of each area of concern (AOC). These determinations were recorded in a document titled “FAA Tanana Station – Summary of Evaluations and Determinations”, which was dated May 12, 2015, and was signed by the FAA on 9/17/2015.
