Inspecting Home Systems After Earthquakes

Anchorage, AK—The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) is issuing a Public Health and the Environment advisory to property owners who were affected by the recent earthquake in Southcentral Alaska.

Effects of the earthquake could include impacts to:

  • Private wells and other drinking water sources
  • Refrigeration
  • Septic systems
  • Generated hazardous debris
  • Caused oil or other hazardous substance releases
