The TAPS/JPO Section provides oversight for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) Pipeline and the Valdez Marine Terminal. Section staff is located at the Joint Pipeline Office (JPO) in Anchorage. The JPO houses representatives of thirteen State and federal agencies that have oversight responsibilities for various elements of TAPS operations. Industry Preparedness Program staff at the JPO are part of a joint Oil Spill Team at the JPO that includes federal Bureau of Land Management and Environmental Protection Agency staff.
