- The Colville tractor-trailer was transporting ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD). Colville estimates approximately 2,802 gallons of ULSD was released to the environment. An empty fuel tanker received fuel cargo from the damaged tanker and transported the fuel to the Colville facility in Deadhorse. The release volume was calculated from the original load ticket and the quantity of metered fuel received in Deadhorse.
- Cause
- Single vehicle truck accident, the cause of the accident is still under investigation. A hatch on the rear trailer compartment was breached after colliding with a 10 inch diameter spruce tree.
