Cruise Ship Program

September 20, 2012 Technology Workshop

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Cruise Ship Program held a Technology Workshop sponsored by the Cruise Ship Wastewater Science Advisory Panel on September 20, 2012 in the Centennial Hall Convention Center in Juneau.

The workshop had various booths and displays for visitors to read and interact with at their own pace and was intended to provide background and information about cruise ship wastewater effluent, legislation, permits, and current technologies used on ships. The purpose of the workshop was to provide a "big picture" of the cruise ship wastewater issues and the Panel's work over the last 2 years.
