The following comment was sent to the Air Force for this site: Site 15 (WP014) is a manmade percolation pond that receives cooling water from both the technical site and the power plant. It has been named Lake Sansing. The pond is lined with fly ash and top soil to slow infiltration to groundwater. Sediments have been sampled and analyzed and exceedances of the NOAA SqUIRTs for cooper, chromium, lead, and mercury have been found. The lake has been stocked with fish and recreational fishing does occur. The Air Force is proposing to conduct an RI, followed by a FS, PP, and ROD. DEC concurs. Debra Caillouet
