Problems/Comments
Fuel release discovered during 8/90 demolition of Building T-1601, apparently from underground fuel line that was reportedly 20-30 years old. DEH excavated and stockpiled approximately 2,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil. Diesel contaminated GW and soils. GW is within perched aquifer atop permafrost. Site 1625 feet amsl. Site includes six ASTs, utility shed, deep water-supply well and flammables storage cage. Extensive diesel contamination of soils and water, some TCE found in soils near flammables supply shed. Bioventing proposed by COE. Previous file# 140.38.007. Last staff assigned was Short. (rpltr7)
