Preliminary Assessment Approved |
Wastes have been disposed of into soil and surface water at the site. Soil at the base is continuously washed by precipitation. Surface water has potential for contamination via drainage from soil which may pose a threat to sensitive environments in the region and to human targets through food chain contamination. |
Former Staff |
12/1/1992 |
Site Characterization Report Approved |
(Old R:Base Action Code = SI - Site Investigation). VOCs no longer present in significant concentrations at the sampling locations. SVOC detection is fairly uniformly distributed for the area. PCBs present in shallow soil samples at Sampling Area B. Sampling Areas A,B,E and F showed elevated levels of heavy metals. |
