Problems/Comments

A 1991 spill of approximately 400 gallons of heating fuel leaked from an AST. Soil and GW impacted with contamination. One lot north of Ester Avenue on the west side of the Sterling highway. RP conducted immediate response to stop leak and contain release. Some soil excavation and stockpiling.

Requirements

Description Details
When Contaminated Soil is Accessible, Remediation Should Occur Soil contamination remains beneath the building located on the property. Should this soil ever become accessible, additional assessment and/or remedial actions will be required to determine the current contamination levels and any additional corrective actions that may be required. Affected groundwater is a perched layer not used as a drinking water source.
Advance approval required to transport soil or groundwater off-site. Standard condition.
Movement or use of contaminated material (including on site) in a manner that results in a violation of the water quality standards is prohibited (18 AAC 70) Standard condition.
Periodic Review Every five years.
