Problems/Comments

Numerous drums found during installation of sewer line for Bristol Bay Borough. Sample analysis indicated no significant contamination. Barrels labeled diesel and some had product. More barrels to be uncovered and tested. Site to be designated as unconfirmed. 1,250 cubic yards of soil and drums removed and replaced with visqueen liner and clean fill. No one has accepted responsibility for the site. Air Force agreed to dispose of dug-up soil and drums.
