Problems/Comments

Petroleum hydrocarbon contamination. Extent of contamination and hazard to human health unknown. Concern for surface water contamination of Comstock. (rpltr9)

1/27/1995 Update or Other Action Petroleum hydrocarbon soil contamination was identified by a Dames and Moore survey of the mining property. Two cubic yards of hydrocarbon contaminate soil, less than 60 gallons of containerized liquids, and small quantities of other hazardous materials (insecticide, calcium carbide, jar of sodium cyanide). 8/16/1996 Site Ranked Using the AHRM Ranked by Shannon and Wilson. NOTES: GW and SW exposures are unknown. An evaluation needs to be made regarding the potental for the stained soil to contaminate soil and GW.
