Problems/Comments

Petroleum hydrocarbon contamination and soil stain in vicinity of claims trommel wash area. Extent of contamination and hazard to human health unknown. (rpltr10)

6/29/1994 Update or Other Action (Old R:Base Action Code = RPL2 - Site Information Request Letter). Sent PRP-CS Database Notification Letter to RP requesting update and more environmental information concerning contaminated site. RP/Louise Gallop responded with call that NPS had purchased site from her. She also said the trommel, old vehical and other items had been removed or cleaned up by NPS last year. 1/31/1995 Update or Other Action Petroleum hydrocarbon soil staining was identified near trommel wash plant. A Dames and Moore site survey found 3.3 cubic yards of hydrocarbon contaminated soil , a five gallon pail of unidentified liquids, and lead acid batteries. Ron McCallister
