Update or Other Action |
Received Well Monitoring report by Shannon and Wilson. Monitoring well B-4 contained DRO above cleanup level. ADEC requested installation of an additional monitoring well at the edge of the property (corener of Building #3). A soil sample must be collected during drilling and sampled for PCE/TCE. Water must be analyzed for PCE/TCE also. |

Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other |
DEC received and reviewed the Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Report for work conducted in 2009. One well was installed near the location were PCE was identified in 1992 and existing well B-4 was sampled. Soil samples collected during well installation indicate DRO and RRO above the migration to groundwater cleanup levels but below health based levels. Only DRO present in groundwater. Highest DRO was 1.74 ppm in well B-4 . Detection levels for PCE in soil samples were above the migration to groundwater cleanup level, however , no PCE was identified in groundwater. |

Document, Report, or Work plan Review - other |
DEC received the 2012 Phase II environmental site assessment from ARES. The report documents cleanup activities and monitoring performed at the site, including the installation of temporary monitoring wells downgradient of the property (off the west and northwest property boundaries), excavation and disposal of contaminated soil, and monitoring of new and existing wells including the private well onsite. Remaining contamination is well below cleanup levels for all analytes which included GRO, DRO, RRO, BTEX, VOCs, PAHs, and lead. ARES recommends a cleanup complete status and decommissioning of monitoring wells. |
