Karen Carpenter called from Florida. They are still living on the property and using the hand dug well. At the time of the release the fuel ran down the foundation into the well. They removed the contaminated soils. They didn't use the well for several months. It was tested clean and they have been using it ever since. She was unaware that it was listed on the CS list. She will send a letter outlining what actions were taken and a closure letter will be issued upon receipt of her letter. |

Cleanup Complete Determination Issued |
In May 2022, three test pits were advanced to 10 feet below ground surface. Six soil samples plus one duplicate were collected and analyzed for diesel range organics (DRO), gasoline range organics (GRO), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Laboratory analytical results revealed that all concentrations were either non-detect or below the most restrictive ADEC Method 2 soil cleanup levels. No contaminant concentrations exceeded migration to groundwater cleanup levels, therefore, groundwater was not investigated. |
