Problems/Comments
UST# 295 was replaced with 1,000 gallon diesel tank in 7/91. During removal two soil samples taken from bottom of excavation resulted in DRPH 24 ppm in one sample and non-detectable in the other, no BTEX/GRPH detected. A 25,000 gallon UST# 352 is referenced by COE. This diesel UST known in 1949 construction drawing as "Fuel Oil Tank T-17", located in th NW corner of Building 3593. This UST may have been removed in 1989, while no records of status or location exist for for a third UST# 351. (rpltr7) This site was reviewed on January 12, 2016. The site was formerly listed in Appendix A of the Two Party Agreement at Fort Wainwright. DEC is reviewing the Appendix A site list and has requested the Army to update the list based on confirmed cleanup complete/closure status of the original sites.
