Problems/Comments
During the removal of one 1,500 gallon diesel, and one 1,000 gallon gasoline underground storage tanks, gasoline and diesel contaminated soils was encountered. Maximum concentrations of TPH 5,140 ppm, EPH 2,870 ppm, VPH 348 ppm, BTEX 29 ppm, and Benzene 0.22 ppm was encountered. Approximately 560 cubic yards of soil was excavated from the tank removals, from the SW corner of the building and the asphalt type material on the south property line. The soils were treated by asphalt recycling, and placed on Birch Street in Soldotna. Updated 9-5-06 Alyce Hughey.
