Problems/Comments

UST 1572 first stored diesel, but was later used as a waste oil tank. It was removed in 1998 with no sampling conducted, and had further investigation in 1999 and 2001. The 1999 investigation documented only limited DRO contamination, however, the 2001 investigation found higher DRO concentrations, as well as BTEX above cleanup levels and spotty detections of chlorinated compounds. These investigations were conducted under the Air Force Compliance program, but continuing investigation will be by the Installation Restoration Program of the Air Force as part of the "JP4 Fillstands" IRP Site designated ST009.
