SA1R; Site assessment report indicates that diesel fuel impacted soil and shallow ground water are present. Approximately 350 gallons of free product have been recovered by pumping water from beneath the building into an oil/water separator and discharging the water into the sanitary sewer (with approval from the City of Kodiak). Additional release investigation is work is on-going. Preliminary plans call for construction of a containment cell for bioremediation of the excavated soil. |
