Problems/Comments
On July 14 through July 15, 1998, two 1000 gallon gasoline tanks and two 5000 gallon gasoline tanks, dispensers, and associated piping were removed. Up to 110 mg/kg lead, 2.3 mg/kg benzene, and 4200 mg/kg GRO left in soils at the site. The highest levels of benzene and GRO were left at 4 feet below ground surface at the gasoline dispenser. Contamination over default cleanup levels also remains at 5000 gallon gasoline tank #1, both 1000 gasoline tanks, and piping. 133 cubic yards of contaminated soil that was above default cleanup levels was placed back in the excavation. 10 cubic yards of contaminated soil from the gasoline dispenser was not backfilled but remains on site for future treatment. The full extent of the contamination at this site has not been defined. F.K.A. L55.315
