Approved the site characterization final work plan. To delineate the lateral and vertical extent of remaining contamination, the NPS is proposing to install up to 8 soil borings and collect soil samples for DRO, GRO, BTEX, EDB, EDC, PAHs, and lead. If perched water is encountered, a temporary well will be installed and a groundwater sample will be collected. Up to 10 cubic yards of contaminated soil will be removed as possible, without compromising the integrity of the hangar foundation. |
