REM; ASHA desires to dispose of stockpile S-45 to S-49, S-51 to S-53 at Hiland rd. landfill of 225 cubic yards of waste soils. 85 tons in S-50 by first processing at AK Pollution Control calciner in Palmer then to the landfill. Receipts from landfill scale house for waste soils will be presented to DEC. |

Offsite Soil or Groundwater Disposal Approved |
REM; Quest Environmental submits request for disposal of soil from waste soil stockpiles. S-50 earlier reported to have elevated chromium levels was found to have actual chromium levels within ambient background levels. Northern Testing Lab. had an autosampler malfunctioning & inaccurately diluting samples with high values. So S-50 to go to Anchorage Sand & Gravel after DEC approval. |

MS; AK State Housing Authority sent in quarterly monitoring well sampling from Quest Environmental. Well 4 had 20500 ppb EPA602, well 1 & 2 had 10 ppm, well 3 non detectable contamination. Groundwater flow has been supported by data collected by RZA & Alaskan Consulting Surveyors, Inc. show it frm the south east. Again it is suggested that "... contaminants within the ground water (is) migrating from a source other than the subject site." |

Phone conversation with RP (Municipality of Anchorage) regarding condition of groundwater monitoring wells around administration building. MW2 not found, possibly "absorbed" into landscaping and last accessed by Arcadis (for Chevron) in September 2002. MW4 is outside gate and was last accessed in May 2002 by Arcadis. MW3 has new cover and was last sampled by Arcadis in 1993. Manhole cover over collection gallery still there. |
