Problems/Comments

Visual soil staining observed and lab confirmed from sampling in 1992. Area 1 is a former waste oil drum storage site situated on Lot 8 with diesel fuels and POLs and metals contamination. Area 2 is a suspected diesel fuel AST (1,000 gallon cap.) spill on lot 3. 105 cubic yards (~339.49 tons) of contaminated soil excavated and shipped to Alaska Soil Recycling. 35 cubic yards of contaminated soils came from Lot 3, area 1, while 70 cubic yards came from Lot 8, area 2. Lot 3 successfully rmediated. Lots 3 and 8, Block 2, King Subdivision. Also referred to as Maui Industrial Park Subdivision. Former Class A, artesian drinking water well (reported no longer used for drinking water), had a sheen on the water table surface as observed in well casing. Well properly abandoned 6/20-1/94 by M-W Drilling, 219'. Last staff assigned was Dronenburg.
